The Way of Sacrifice – Tony Corden

I’ve read and enjoyed many of Corden’s books. “The Way of Sacrifice” exhibits the engaging writing I’ve come to expect - but I didn’t finish it. Through no fault of her own, the protagonist is sent to a magic school under the auspices of a man with too many enemies. A book-length torture marathon ensues. Other reviews of this series assure me that it gets better in later books, but I wasn’t able to bring myself to finish this one.
