This series is entertaining. The author is working with standard gamelit/isekai tropes - reincarnated character working her way up the levels of her character class - and making them fun to read.

“Descent” is very much a middle book: Talyn is thrown into a situation that will cause her to make a tremendous leap in power. This bridges the first book, in which she struggles to get started in her new world, and the third book, in which she will be a significant character in that world.
